You only need one layer of DIY Detail Ceramic Coating. But so many of you have been asking: Can I apply 2 coatings? If so, what do I need to know???

Stacking coatings isn’t the same as multiple coats of the same product. With our coatings, you can stack the 3 year Graphene Ceramic Coating over our 8 year Ceramic Coatings. Why would you want to do that? It gives you the benefits of the 8 year coatings, plus the characteristics of the 3 year Graphene coating. This means you’re getting extreme slickness, higher gloss AND water spot resistance. Plus enhanced self cleaning ability.

Here’s what you need to know about application.

There’s a window of opportunity to stack coatings, 2-8 hours. Before the 2 hour mark, the 3-year will damage the other coating you’ve already applied. In the window of opportunity (2-8 hours after applying that first layer of coating), the 2 mix together to become another coating — enhancing the properties of both. What happens after 8 hours? Instead of combining the coating, you’re simply adding the 3-year coating OVER the other.
